Maarten Broekhof

Maarten Broekhof currently serves as a Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of The Netherlands to the EU and NATO, having progressed through various roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since August 2014. In addition to this position, Maarten holds the title of PhD Candidate and Research Fellow at the Netherlands Defence Academy. Previous experience includes significant research involvement as a Summer Research Associate at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and roles in educational and political campaign capacities. Academic qualifications include a MA in Military Strategic Studies from the Royal Military Academy and a range of other degrees focused on international relations, humanitarian law, and diplomatic training from prestigious institutions.
