Philip Strik

Philip Strik serves as the Coordinator of the Sanctions Development Cluster within the EU External Affairs Division at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since July 2022. Previously, Philip held positions including Diplomat at the Economic Affairs Section of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United States from November 2018 to June 2022, and Assistant Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Policy and Defence at the Prime Minister's Office of The Netherlands from February 2016 to November 2018. Additional experience includes diplomatic roles at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Berlin and serving as a Policy Officer in the Legal Service, EU Law Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands. Philip's educational background includes a PhD in European Law from the University of Cambridge and multiple degrees from Leiden University, the University of Oxford, and Sciences Po, encompassing various fields such as International Relations and Philosophy.
