Sander Janssen

Sander Janssen is an experienced HR director at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since June 2019, focusing on HR policy reformulation, directorate restructuring, and team revitalization. Previously, Sander served as Director - Chief of Cabinet, advising the Secretary-General and supporting ministers while enhancing teamwork and establishing a new advisory team. Sander's earlier roles include Deputy Director Europe, where management of a network of 40+ embassies was overseen, and Deputy Director Protocol, which involved crisis resolution and international cooperation improvements. Extensive experience also includes diplomatic positions in Pakistan, Turkey, Oman, and Yemen, as well as project management in the ICT directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Sander holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from Leiden University.
