Timo Verheij

Timo Verheij has extensive experience in economic affairs and international cooperation, currently serving as First Secretary in the Economic Affairs Department at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Berlin since July 2019, after holding a similar position in Beijing. Previous roles include economic policy officer focused on IMF and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, financial project advisor at Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, and policy officer on Brexit at the Directorate for European and International Affairs. Timo also completed a diplomatic training program at The Clingendael Institute and held various project management roles in international development. Timo Verheij holds a cum laude Master of Science in International Economics and Business from Utrecht University and has participated in an exchange program at Université Pierre Mendès-France.
