Shabana Begum

Shabana Begum currently serves as the Executive Director of the Tax Policy Sector at the Ministry of Finance in the UAE, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Shabana Begum spent nearly a decade at KPMG, where responsibilities included serving as a Board Member and Partner from October 2013 to October 2022. Shabana Begum also held the position of Manager at PwC from September 2005 to September 2013. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting and Finance from The University of Birmingham, as well as professional designations as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) from The Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
