Charles Kapalamula

Charles Kapalamula is an experienced professional in the biomedical engineering field, currently serving as the Head of Department for PAM at Kamuzu Central Hospital under the Ministry of Health Malawi since May 2020. Prior to this role, Charles held various positions, including Senior Biomedical Engineer at Balaka Hospital from July 2018 to August 2022 and Biomedical Engineer at the Ministry of Health in 2018. Additionally, Charles has contributed as Vice President of Balaka Intelligentsia and served as a volunteer with the Community of Sant Egidio from 2010 to August 2022. Early career roles include Lab Clerk at the DREAM-programme Malawi and a Primary School Teacher with the Ministry of Education from 2010 to 2014. Charles is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management at the Malawi School of Government, following a Bachelor’s degree from the Malawi University of Science and Technology and a Primary Teaching Certificate from Lilongwe Teachers College.
