Maria N. Nkalubo

Maria N. Nkalubo has a strong background in the healthcare sector, with experience working for both the Ministry of Health in Uganda and St. John Ambulance Uganda. Maria began their career in 2006 as a Training Coordinator and EMT Trainer at St. John Ambulance Uganda, where they remained until 2015. In 2015, they joined the Ministry of Health as a Principal Operations Officer. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing various operational activities. Maria later transitioned to the role of Program Coordinator for the Transformational Leadership and Culture Change Initiative. This initiative focused on strengthening health systems through culture change and transformational leadership. Maria's work experience demonstrates their expertise in healthcare operations and their ability to lead and drive organizational change.

Maria N. Nkalubo has a Master's degree in Public Health from Uganda Martyrs University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2024. In 2018 to 2019, they participated in a Fellowship Program in Health Services Administration at Seoul National University. Maria also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Management Institute from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, Maria received a Certificate in Administrative Law from Makerere University School of Law. Maria has also completed a Fellowship Program in Disaster Resilience Leadership, focusing on Disaster Management, at Makerere University School of Public Health. Furthermore, they pursued a Diploma in Human Rights and Gender Equality in Climate and Disaster Displacement from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, from 2022 to 2023.
