Chinmay Prabhakar serves as the Controller of Accounts for both the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in India since January 2023, overseeing financial governance of extensive infrastructure projects worth US$40 billion. Previously, Chinmay held the position of Deputy Controller of Accounts within the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, contributing to digital transformation initiatives in healthcare finance. Additional experience includes working as a Student Intern at the United Nations ESCAP, focusing on sustainable practices, and as Assistant State Nodal Officer at the Indian Ministry of Finance, where key public financial management reforms were implemented. Earlier roles also encompassed digital architecture development and regulation drafting for urban planning. Chinmay holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master in Public Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from CEPT University.
