Kara Rosenwald has a diverse work experience in various educational and administrative roles. Kara started their career in 2012 as a Jewish Education Navigator, guiding students in Hebrew reading, prayer practice, and Judaic studies. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Talmud Torah of Minneapolis in different positions, including trip planner and leader, director of culture and community, and educator. In 2014, they also served as a senior educator and advisor at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. Additionally, they were the director of UnCamp 2020, an online program that offered various activities for kids. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as an administrative coordinator at SIVO Insights, Inc. Kara also had experience as an educator at AMOS AND CELIAC HEILICHER MINNEAPOLIS JEWISH DAY SCHOOL and Camp Ramah in California. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Global Experiences and Events at the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, where they are responsible for managing missions programs and coordinating major events.
Kara Rosenwald obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Jewish Studies from San Diego State University from 1997 to 2001. Kara later pursued a Masters in Jewish Professional Studies, with a focus on Administration, Camp Leadership, and Jewish Education, at Gratz College from 2020 to 2022. In addition, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Israel Education from The George Washington University - Graduate School of Education and Human Development during the academic year of 2021 to 2022. Kara Rosenwald also obtained a certification from The iCenter/GW Graduate Degree in Israel Education at The iCenter in July 2022.
