Micah J. Smith

Micah J. Smith is currently serving as the Assistant Track and Field Coach for Minneapolis Public Schools, specializing in pole vaulting after collegiate experience in decathlon. As the sole physical education teacher at an inner-city public middle school, Micah serves approximately 750 students in grades 6-8. Previously, Micah held the role of Facilities Manager at Bethel University's Sports & Recreation Center from February 2020 to August 2024, and earlier from August 2018 to December 2019, developing a passion for cleanliness and attention to detail in facility management. Additional experience includes teaching elementary students at Substance Church, working as a Room Assistant at Shoreview Community Center's kids' day camp, and gaining early work experience at Carbonne's Pizza. Micah holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Bethel University, completed in 2022, after graduating from Mounds View Senior High School in 2018.
