Minneapolis Radiation Oncology, P.A.

In 1982, Dr. Robert Haselow founded Minneapolis Radiation Oncology, P.A. at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. Since then, MRO has grown in experience and innovation, and expanded to include nine accredited radiation therapy centers in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota. Our physicians also staff three hospital-based radiation oncology clinics. MRO's radiation oncologists have trained at a number of institutions, including Indiana University, the Medical College of Wisconsin, the University of Arizona, the University of Michigan, the Mayo Clinic, the National Cancer Institute, the University of California San Francisco, and the University of Minnesota. MRO treats patients experiencing all types of adult cancer, and supports our patients throughout the treatment process with ongoing education and care. We also accommodate most insurance and health care plans. Radiation technology is always evolving. MRO brings the latest radiation treatment technologies to our patients. In the Twin Cities, we were the first institution to do endobronchial radiation. We also helped establish prostate implant programs at a number of local hospitals. Recently MRO has added high-dose rate brachytherapy (HDR) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), using cone beam and fiducial markers, to our therapeutic options for our patients. Review radiation treatment options available at MRO. MRO is actively involved in clinical trials and technology development for new cancer treatments. The diverse experience of our professional staff adds depth and breadth to our clinical knowledge, while bolstering MRO's reputation for service to its community of patients, physicians, and hospitals.
