Chris Hanson has extensive experience in the bioprocessing and ethanol industries, currently serving as General Manager at POET since 2005, overseeing a facility with $150 million in annual revenues and previously managing a second location with $65 million in revenues. In addition to responsibilities at POET, Chris serves as President/Secretary of the Minnesota Ethanol Producer's Association, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, and Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Commonweal Theatre Company, where leadership includes chairing the Anti-Racism Committee. Chris has also contributed to the MN Governor's Biofuels Council and held leadership roles in a local church and the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Bethel University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
