Minnesota Community Care
Monica Herrera is an experienced professional in health education and community outreach, currently serving as a Steering Committee Member for Queermunity Collaborative since April 2023, where efforts focus on building a community hub for the LGBTQIA2S+ community in the Twin Cities Metro area. At Minnesota Community Care, since September 2019, Monica has managed health education and harm reduction programs, emphasizing grant management and community partnerships. Previous roles include Urban Core Project Coordinator and Health Educator at the University of Minnesota, where responsibilities included conducting community surveys and data collection. Monica also contributed to Aging Well Services as an Americorps Vista at South Dakota State University and conducted research within the Latine community at the University of Iowa. Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Health Studies from the University of Iowa.

They offer a full range of medical services for all ages of life, from prenatal care through end-of-life care. This includes routine exams, urgent care visits, medicationmanagement, lab draws, xray services, immunizations, simple procedures, preventive screening, and chronic disease management. They provides early and regular well-child care and immunizations. They offer information that parents need to support their growing families. They strive to create a trusting relationship between family members and providers to ensure the health and well-being of the entire family.
