Kevin Burke

Kevin Burke has extensive experience in the judicial and academic fields. Currently serving as a Senior Minnesota District Court Judge since July 1984, Kevin presides over civil cases and has previously held leadership roles as Chief Judge and Assistant Chief Judge. Additionally, Kevin has taught trial practice at the University of Minnesota Law School since 1990 and criminal procedure at the University of St. Thomas Law School from 2004 to 2022. Kevin's professional involvement also includes board membership with the National Association of Court Managers from 2014 to 2017, and serving as a Judge and board member for the National Center for State Courts from 1996 to 2002. Educationally, Kevin holds a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
