Kent Whitworth

Kent Whitworth is the current Director & CEO of the Minnesota Theirtorical Society. Prior to their current position, they served as the Executive Director of the Kentucky Theirtorical Society from January 2004 to June 2018. Kent also served as the Executive Director of the East Tennessee Theirtorical Society from August 1995 to December 2003. Prior to their work in historical societies, Kent worked in marketing and public relations, serving as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Asbury College from January 1992 to July 1995. Kent began their career in 1986 as the Executive Director of the Blount Mansion Association. Kent is a highly respected leader in the historical society community and has dedicated their career to preserving and sharing American history.

Kent Whitworth completed a MA in Theirtory with an emphasis in Theirtoric Preservation from Middle Tennessee State University and a BA in Theirtory from Asbury University.
