Evaluation Manager at Minnesota Historical Society

Sheila Brommel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sheila'smost recent position was as an Evaluation Manager at the Minnesota Historical Society, where they were responsible for managing and implementing evaluation projects across a network of historic sites and museums. Previously, they worked as an Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of St. Thomas, teaching social work courses and advising students. Sheila also held various roles at PATH, Inc., including REACH Project Director and Director of Quality Outcomes, where they managed federal demonstration projects and implemented outcome management systems. Prior to that, they served as the Eastern North Dakota Regional Director at PATH North Dakota, providing administration and program development for therapeutic foster care and family support services. Sheila also has experience at Cass County Social Services as the Therapeutic Foster Care Program Director and at the North Dakota Department of Human Services as a Screening Team Social Worker. Sheila began their career as a Social Worker II at Pierce County Social Services, where they supervised foster care programs and coordinated various social service programs.

Sheila Brommel holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Prior to this, they earned their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Augsburg University between 1994 and 1995. Sheila also completed their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree at Moorhead State University from 1980 to 1981. Sheila started their higher education journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Home Economics, with a focus on Child Development Family Relations - Family Relations Option, from North Dakota State University from 1978 to 1981.

Before pursuing their college education, Sheila Brommel attended West Fargo High School from 1975 to 1978. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a license as a Licensed Independent Social Worker from the Minnesota Board of Social Work in 1998.
