Steven Goranson

Archaeology Project Assistant at Minnesota Historical Society

Steven Goranson has a diverse work experience that spans several organizations and roles. Steven began their career in 2005 as a Baker at Kelber Catering and then worked as a Warehouse Specialist at Furniture Outlets USA starting in 2007. In 2011, they served as the Vice-President of the Anthropology Club at North Hennepin Community College. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Volunteer at the Minnesota Historical Society and became an Archaeology Project Assistant in 2016. During this time, they also became a Member of the Archaeological Institute of America. In 2013, they started volunteering for the archaeology research group at Hamline University and later became a Field Technician there from 2015 to 2017. From 2015 to 2015, they briefly worked as a Field Technician at HDR. Overall, Steven Goranson has gained experience in various fields such as archaeology, volunteer work, warehouse operations, and baking.

Steven Goranson completed their education in a chronological order. From 2013 to 2015, they attended Hamline University, where they pursued a degree in Anthropology and History, specializing in Archaeology. Prior to that, they attended North Hennepin Community College from 2009 to 2012, during which they focused on History but did not obtain a degree. In 2003, Steven Goranson completed a Certificate program in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef at The Art Institutes International-Minnesota, where they studied until 2005.
