Akua Tieku is an experienced professional in sport management and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Currently serving as the DEI & Girls Growth Manager at Minnesota Hockey since January 2023, Akua has held various roles including Chalet Manager at Mount Ski Gull and Customer Support Coach at NBC Sports Next. Previous internships include positions at Minnesota Hockey Camps and the Herb Brooks Foundation, along with experience as an Academic Coach with ACES. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota, as well as degrees in Strategic Communication and Sport Management from the same institution, and a focus on Journalism at Michigan State University.
