Karen Baumgaertner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international development and nonprofit management. Currently serving as the Professional Exchanges Manager at Global Minnesota, Karen has also co-founded the Minnesota International NGO Network, which serves as a vital platform for international practitioners in the state. Prior roles include Director of Development and Communications at One Heart Health, Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, and Project Management Consultant, among others. Karen's diverse expertise encompasses program development, communications, and support for international projects across multiple countries, underscoring a strong commitment to improving global health and well-being. Karen holds a Master of Arts in International Development from American University and a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in International Political Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
