Paul Ablan

Paul Ablan has a strong background in the insurance industry, with notable roles at various companies. Paul served as the President/CEO of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual since January 2015. Additionally, they held the position of Chair at the Insurance Federation of Minnesota in 2015. Paul Ablan joined OneBeacon Professional Insurance in 2005 and served as the President of their Professional Liability Group until December 2014. Prior to this, they worked at St. Paul Companies for over 14 years and held the position of Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for Professional Liability. In 2021, they became a Member of the Board of Trustees at Hamline University.

Paul Ablan has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, which they completed in 1985. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University. In addition to their formal education, Paul Ablan has obtained certifications including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter from The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters in October 1995, and Associate in Risk Management from Insurance Institute of America in July 1993.
