Brian J. Morgan

Brian J. Morgan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Currently, they serve as the Cyber Coordination Cell Director at the Minnesota National Guard. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Network Development Manager III, where they led a team of engineers in ensuring network availability and security. Brian J. also authored root cause analysis reports and executed comprehensive remediation strategies.

Before joining AWS, Morgan was an Industrial Cybersecurity Program Manager at Medtronic, where they managed the company's cybersecurity program. Brian J. also held leadership positions at the U.S. Army Cyber Command, including Director of the 177th Cyber Protection Team, where they led a team of security professionals in securing and hardening networks.

Morgan's earlier experience includes roles in the US Army, where they served as an Army Major, project manager, and plans officer-in-charge. Brian J. also worked as a Military Intelligence Officer, producing intelligence products and providing briefings to senior-level military and government officials.

Furthermore, Morgan has experience in the healthcare industry, having worked at UnitedHealth Group | Optum as a Technical Information Security Advisor and Senior IT Security Consultant. Brian J. also worked as an Information Security Engineer at Sovos Compliance. Additionally, Morgan has government experience, serving as an SCI Special Security Officer and Chief of Sensitive Compartmented Information Security in the Minnesota National Guard. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in network security, project management, and building relationships across stakeholders.

Brian J. Morgan attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College from 2018 to 2019, where they studied Political Science and Government. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business from 2012 to 2017, with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Brian J. also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, obtained from 2002 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Brian has obtained various certifications in the fields of cloud security, network defense, information security, ethical hacking, programming, and network administration.
