Peter Schommer

Peter Schommer is a System Performance Senior Engineer at Minnesota Power, a position held since May 2007, where responsibilities include supporting System Operations through studies related to outages and interconnections, as well as model building and maintenance utilizing PSS/E and Powertech software. Additionally, Peter Schommer ensures NERC compliance by documenting activities related to the operation of the bulk electric system. Previously, from August 2002 to April 2007, Peter Schommer served as an Operations Engineer at Midwest ISO, collaborating with Reliability Coordinators to maintain the reliability of the Bulk Electric System in the Upper Midwest. Peter Schommer holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Saint John's University.
