Feven Gerezgiher

Feven Gerezgiher is an accomplished reporter and producer at MPR News since October 2022, focusing on general assignments and the Reverb initiative that reflects diverse, young voices. Prior experience includes mentoring students at SPEAK MPLS during a summer camp, where guidance was provided in news reporting and documentary production. As a reporter for Ampers, Feven produced daily segments on racial equity issues and community responses to significant events. Volunteer work with the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students involved tutoring and supporting local cultural initiatives, while previous roles at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and the Metropolitan Council included community engagement and data analysis related to housing and parks policy. Feven holds a degree from the University of Minnesota and has also studied at the West African Research Center.
