Minnesota Senate
Carter Yost is an experienced leader and organizer with a strong background in student advocacy and political engagement. Currently serving as the Fight for $15 Committee Co-Chair for the Minnesota Student Association, Carter has been instrumental in efforts to raise the minimum wage for student workers at the University of Minnesota. As President of the College Democrats of Minnesota, Carter successfully leads a statewide executive team, facilitating various projects, communications, and voter engagement initiatives. Carter also holds the position of Senate Assistant for Senator John Hoffman in the Minnesota Senate, contributing to legislative efforts in health and human services. Previous roles include Midwest Coordinator for College Democrats of America, Director of Communications for Jason Chavez's campaign, and various field organizing positions. Carter is pursuing a degree in History, Communications, and Political Science at the University of Minnesota, building on a solid foundation from Lincoln High School's International Baccalaureate program.
