Clare Oumou Verbeten is a dedicated public servant currently serving as the Minnesota State Director at The Partnership, Inc. and as a Minnesota State Senator since January 2023. Previously, Verbeten managed equity initiatives as the Equity and Inclusion Program Manager for the City of Saint Paul and contributed to advancing workforce inclusion as a Community Affairs Specialist at Mortenson. Earlier roles include Deputy Political Director for both the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and Tim Walz for Governor, and Party Affairs Director at the Minnesota DFL Party, where Verbeten coordinated state conventions and local outreach. Verbeten began a career in political organizing during an internship with the Democratic National Committee and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Society from American University.
