Erik Olson

Erik Olson is a fiscal analyst at the Minnesota Senate since December 2022, where responsibilities include nonpartisan fiscal analysis, bill drafting, and legislative research for various committees. Previously, Olson served as a policy analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and conducted extensive research as a graduate capstone researcher at the University of Washington, focusing on the impact of police body-worn cameras on fatal police shootings. Experience also includes public affairs internship at the Washington State House of Representatives, legislative roles within the Minnesota Senate, and community engagement through a Young Adult in Global Mission program. Olson holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from St. Olaf College.
