Wendy Haavisto

Wendy Haavisto has extensive experience in legislative support, currently serving as a Legislative Assistant to the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus and as a Leadership Assistant to the Minnesota Senate President since June 1997. Responsibilities include managing the bill referral process and facilitating daily Senate floor activities, as well as acting as the primary contact for constituents and lobbying efforts. Previous experience includes serving as a Committee Legislative Assistant, where responsibilities encompassed preparing meeting materials and documenting committee activities. Additionally, Wendy held the position of Head Election Judge for the City of Inver Grove Heights from 2004 to January 2023, overseeing polling place operations and ensuring neutrality during elections. Wendy Haavisto earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Bemidji State University and pursued graduate studies in English at Winona State University.
