Garrett Lanzy

Garrett Lanzy has extensive experience in information technology and security, currently serving as an Information Security Specialist at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities since May 2010. In this role, Garrett administers a decentralized vulnerability management system and coordinates vulnerability scanning and remediation across 31 institutions throughout Minnesota. Prior to this, Garrett held positions as Interim Director of Operations and Network Systems Administrator at Metropolitan State University from May 2007 to May 2010. Garrett's career includes a significant tenure at IBM from June 1984 to April 2006, where Garrett worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University and Syracuse University, respectively.
