Matt Heldstab

Matt Heldstab serves as Vice President of the VMware User Group (VMUG), providing strategic direction to a global community of over 150,000 end users. Elected in January 2024, Matt also has experience co-leading the Minneapolis and North Central Wisconsin VMware User Groups, where responsibilities include membership recruitment, coordinating events, and collaborating with VMware System Engineers. With over 20 years at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, Matt holds the position of Enterprise Systems Engineer, focusing on virtualization infrastructure across multiple datacenters. Previous roles include Senior Web Developer and CEO at Twin Cities Web Design and Systems Administrator at the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. Matt graduated with a BS in Geographic Information Systems from Bemidji State University and an AA in Mass Communications from Winona State University.
