Andrew Johnson

Dr. Andy Johnson currently serves as a Facilitator at the International Literacy Educators Coalition, focusing on promoting literacy learning practices for children and youth. With a career spanning several decades, Dr. Johnson has been a Professor of Literacy Instruction at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 1996, specializing in meaning-based reading instruction for individuals with reading and learning disabilities. Previous roles include Chief Literacy Advisor at Readocity and Director at Capstone Publishers, where significant contributions to literacy program development were made. Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Literacy Instruction from the University of Minnesota and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
