Mark Johnson

VP for Information Technology Solutions at Minnesota State University-Mankato

Mark Johnson joined Minnesota State University, Mankato in March 2016 as the Vice President for Technology and Chief Information Officer, a position he also held from January 2000 - June 2006 and on an Interim basis from August 2010-July 2011.

Prior to joining Minnesota State Mankato he was the President of Impact Group Technology Solutions, an IT consulting company, where he negotiated the purchase of and turnaround of that company.

Mark spent 4 years (June 2006 - July 2010) in the United Arab Emirates as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Higher Colleges of Technology (the largest college system in that country) and served as the President of the Fujairah Women's College and the Fujairah Men's College. He was the Chief Information Officer for Brown Printing Company (part of the global media company Bertelsmann) from 1989-2000. Mark was an IT manager for General Mills Inc. in both Minnesota and California from 1978-1989.
