Vanessa Knewtson

Vanessa Knewtson is an experienced graphic artist and photographer with a strong background in design and visual communication. Currently serving as a Graphic Artist at Minnesota State University, Mankato since September 2019, Vanessa also owns and operates VanessaLyn Photography & Design, managing all aspects of photography, design, and customer service. Prior experience includes positions as a Graphic Designer at Preferred Printing, where Vanessa handled marketing and maintained online presence, and at Behind The Lens Photography, beginning as an intern and advancing to Graphic Designer and second photographer for events. Vanessa's military service as a Sergeant in the MN National Guard instilled leadership skills, overseeing a squad during service from 2005 to 2013. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and attended Bemidji State University from 2007 to 2009.
