Michelle Morrison is the current Secretary & Treasurer at Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative. Prior to that, they served on the Board of Directors for Independent School District 716 from 1996 to 2008, where they organized and led a community-based committee that developed a long-range facilities plan addressing facility needs for the district, allowing for growth to twice the current enrollment. Michelle also successfully passed a $22 million bond that renovated all facilities and constructed a new grade 3-6 elementary facility. In addition, Michelle negotiated contracts with multiple bargaining units and conducted a search for a new superintendent to lead the district.
Before their work in education, Michelle was employed at First American Financial Corporation from 1992 to 1998 as National Account Representative for the Real Estate Tax Division. In this role, they managed major accounts in Minnesota. From 1985 to 1992, they worked as Assistant Vice President at Lomas & Nettleton Mortgage.
Michelle Morrison has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
