Brian Pariani

Tight Ends Coach at Minnesota Vikings

Kennedy Polamalu is the Tight Ends Coach. He brings 28 years of coaching experience to his 10th NFL season, and 4th with the Vikings, in 2020. A veteran coach, Polamalu's reputation as a teacher and emphasis on technique earned him the respect of players and fellow coaches as a top tutor of RBs in the NFL and college ranks.

In 2019, Polamalu coached RB Dalvin Cook to a breakout season as Cook earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week and FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors and was named as a starter at the 2019 Pro Bowl after leading all non-quarterbacks in fan voting. FB C.J. Ham also was named to the Pro Bowl for his part in the Vikings rushing attack. Cook finished the 2019 regular season with 1,135 rushing yards, 10th-most in the NFL, and became the 8th player in franchise history to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. Cook's 13 rushing touchdowns in 2019 ranked 4th in the NFL and tied for the 2nd most by a Viking in a single season, trailing only Adrian Peterson (18 rush TDs in 2009). Cook also became 1 of 9 players in NFL history to record 500+ rushing yards and 200+ receiving yards in the first 5 games of a season. He became the 5th player in NFL history to open a season with 3 consecutive games of 110+ rushing yards and 1+ rushing TDs, joining HOFers Jim Brown, Curtis Martin, O.J. Simpson and Emmitt Smith.
