Sam Gao

Sam Gao is a seasoned hotel management professional currently serving as President of the Minor Hotels China JV Office since April 2022, responsible for strategic business development and hotel operations across China for several esteemed brands. Prior experience includes leading operations for IHG Hotels & Resorts in North and West China from September 2018 to April 2022, and holding the position of Area General Manager at Hilton from January 2016 to September 2018. Sam’s extensive background also encompasses regional management roles with IHG, overseeing a cluster of multi-brand hotels, and executive positions at Sofitel and Hotel Equatorial. Sam holds a General Manager Program certification from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Economy from Qingdao University.
