Pilar Pizcueta

Director of Biology at Minoryx Therapeutics

Pilar Pizcueta has extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles. Pilar started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School in 1991 and later joined Duke University in 1993 for a similar role. In 1995, they became a Group Research Leader at Fundació Clinic (Hospital Clínic) and held this position until 2001. Following this, Pilar joined Almirall in 2001 and served as the Head of Experimental Pathology/In Vivo Validation in the Biology Department until 2004. From 2005 to 2008, they held the position of Programme Leader in Drug Discovery (Inflammation and Autoimmunity) at Almirall. Pilar's next venture was at CNIO in 2009, where they became a Group Leader and remained until 2012. Finally, they joined Minoryx Therapeutics in 2013 as the Director of Biology and to date, they hold this role.

Pilar Pizcueta earned a Licenciatuta en Ciencias degree in Biology from Universitat Autonoma Barcelona. Pilar then pursued their PhD in Pharmacy from Universitat de Barcelona. No specific information regarding the years of study is provided.
