Quality Assurance and Control- Operations at Mint Innovation

Sheema Riaz has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Sheema started their professional career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore in 2012, where they worked until August 2017. Sheema then joined the University of Sydney as a Faculty Tutor in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from February to October 2018.

After their academic roles, Sheema transitioned to industry. In 2021, they worked at the Henkel R and D Lab as an Assistant R&D - Packaging for a brief period from March to May. Following this, they joined Histopath Diagnostic Specialists as a Technical Officer - Resulting for a short duration from December 2021 to January 2022.

Sheema then gained experience in laboratory services by working at Eurofins Environment Testing - AUS/NZ as a Laboratory Services Officer from October 2021 to June 2022. Subsequently, they joined Reckitt as a Technical Support - Research and Development (Operations) in July 2022 and worked until May 2023.

Currently, Sheema Riaz is employed at Mint Innovation as a Quality Assurance and Control- Operations specialist starting from May 2023.

Sheema Riaz holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Carbon fibre reinforced PVDF & PEEK nanocomposites from Imperial College London, which they completed from 2007 to 2012. Sheema also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in polymer engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology in Lahore, Pakistan, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. In 2021, Sheema pursued a Diploma of Laboratory Technology (Chemistry) at TAFE NSW. Additionally, in the same year, they enrolled in a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at TAFE NSW, which they completed in 2022.
