JP St-Amand has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. They started their career as a Property and Facilities Manager at PWGSC in 1987 before moving on to roles such as National Manager of Strategic Accommodation Planning at HRSDC and Executive Director of Asset and Security Management Directorate at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. They also served as the President of the Real Property Institute of Canada. More recently, JP St-Amand held positions such as Vice President of Business Development at The Corporate Research Group and Principal at INFINITY Management Consulting Services. They are currently working as the Director of Health and Safety, Security & Business Continuity at Minto Group. Their roles have involved areas such as commercial operations, business development, asset management, and organizational development.

JP St-Amand, RPA, FMA has a diverse educational background. JP started their education at Ecole Secondaire de Pain Court, where they completed their secondary education from 1971 to 1983. Following that, they attended Chatham Kent Secondary School for a year from 1983 to 1984.

In 1984, JP St-Amand enrolled at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, where they studied Architectural Technology and completed their studies in 1987.

After working in the field for several years, they further pursued their education by attending Collège Montmorency in 1992 and 1993. There, they obtained a degree in Gestion immobilière agréée (Certified Real Estate Management).

In 2007, JP St-Amand attended Niagara Institute of Canada for a brief period to study Executive Leadership.

Lastly, they obtained their most recent degree, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Strategic Planning, from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University between 2014 and 2016.
