Armands Sugako has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Armands started their career at SEB in 2010 as a Payment Specialist, where they handled domestic and international cross-border payment processing and investigations. Armands later took on roles such as Process Responsible and Process Improvement Manager, where they focused on streamlining SEPA payments processes and implementing continuous improvements.
In 2014, Armands transitioned to the position of Global Process Expert at SEB, where they continued their work in process improvement within the SEPA payments area.
In 2015, they moved to 4finance as a Junior Business System Analyst and later took on the roles of Business System Analyst and Product Owner. In these roles, they worked on marketing-related requirement gathering, loyalty program implementation, and various IT projects.
Armands joined LuminorGroup in 2018 as a Senior IT Business Analyst, where they worked until 2019.
Currently, they are working at Mintos as a Product Owner / Business Analyst for Payments and AML. In this role, they played a key role in the development and launch of a custom core payment system and AML system. Armands'sresponsibilities included requirements gathering and specification, as well as integration with external service providers and rule management for the AML system.
Armands Sugako began their education in 2005 at RISEBA, where they obtained their BA in Electronic Commerce in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they attended the BA School of Business and Finance, earning their MA in Finance Management. In terms of additional certifications, Armands obtained "Influencing and Persuading Anyone Anywhere" from SSE R in March 2020, and the "Certified Scrum Product Owner" certification from Scrum Alliance in October 2016.
