Elaine has more than three decades of litigation experience, primarily with insurance and reinsurance matters. She has extensive experience resolving coverage disputes involving environmental, toxic tort, and a wide variety of other underlying matters involving alleged misconduct by institutional policyholders. Elaine works with insurers both to resolve coverage disputes as they arise and to apply the lessons learned to reduce the likelihood and frequency of future disputes.
Elaine’s practice also encompasses appellate advocacy for the insurance industry. She has represented insurer interests in precedent-setting coverage cases and tort cases before state supreme courts and federal courts of appeals.
Prior to joining Mintz, Elaine was of counsel in the Washington, DC office of a global law firm. Earlier, she was a counsel at another international law firm.
