Man-Yee Sun

Man-Yee Sun has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Man-Yee currently holds the position of Senior Firmware Developer at Miovision since March 2022. Prior to that, from November 2017 to March 2022, they worked at Aeryon Labs Inc as a Senior Embedded Software Developer.

Before joining Aeryon Labs Inc, Man-Yee was employed at Nuvation as a Senior Design Engineer from November 2010 to November 2017. Their responsibilities included designing and developing various projects.

Their earlier experiences include working at March Networks as a DSP Firmware Developer from August 2005 to January 2009, where they gained expertise in digital signal processing and multimedia processing on embedded processors. Man-Yee also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carleton University from September 2003 to August 2004, providing academic support for courses in Real-Time Concurrent Embedded Systems and Software Analysis and Design.

In addition, they worked as an Embedded Developer at March Networks from September 2001 to August 2002, where they implemented real-time multimedia processing components for digital video surveillance systems. Man-Yee also gained experience as an Application Developer at Object Technology International for a brief period in 2000.

Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at Certicom from May 2000 to August 2000, focusing on cryptographic provider libraries. Their tasks included designing and implementing an export version control system.

Man-Yee Sun attended Carleton University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems Engineering. In addition, they also attended the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1998 and completed their Associate of The Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) degree in Piano Performance.
