Kristin Akin

Kristin Akin has diverse work experience in the marketing and advertising industry. Currently, they are working at MiQ as a Sales Director since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Account Executive at MiQ from October 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining MiQ, Kristin was actively involved in the Kansas City Interactive Marketing Association (KCIMA) as a Board Member and Director of Programming from December 2013 to June 2022.

From April 2018 to August 2020, Kristin worked as a Senior Account Executive at KORTX IO, a marketing technology company specializing in data-driven ad solutions.

Kristin gained valuable experience at Rocket Fuel Inc. as a Senior Account Executive from March 2016 to April 2018 and as an Account Executive from February 2014 to March 2016. Rocket Fuel Inc. is a renowned provider of artificial-intelligence advertising solutions.

Kristin also worked at Evolve Media, LLC as a Regional Account Executive from March 2012 to February 2014. Prior to that, they held positions at VML as a Media Manager from March 2010 to March 2012 and as an Assistant Media Manager from August 2008 to March 2010.

Starting their career, Kristin worked at Nicholson Kovac as an Assistant Media Planner from August 2007 to August 2008, and at the University Daily Kansan as a Classified Advertising Sales Manager from August 2007 to May 2008, and as a Classified Advertising Sales Representative from August 2006 to May 2007.

Kristin Akin pursued their education at The University of Kansas from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they completed a Bachelor of Arts in the William Allen White School of Journalism with a concentration in Strategic Communications.
