Jaco Joubert

Jaco Joubert has extensive experience in software engineering and technology strategy. Jaco is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Mira Security since October 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Netronome starting from December 2018. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Netronome from July 2016.

Jaco also has experience in mobile application development. Jaco worked as a Mobile Application Developer at SmartCall Technology Solutions from September 2015 to July 2016, where they were responsible for developing the Android and iOS Apps for the VIDI Video on Demand service.

Furthermore, Jaco worked at Telkom as an Ops Specialist at Strategy Alignment and Standards (SAS) from February 2015 to July 2015. In this role, they contributed to the long-term technology strategy for the Mobile Core, including researching and documenting the evolution of the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) for the current 4G network towards a virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) for 5G. Jaco also assisted in decision making and planning of a new Optical Transport Network (OTN) by summarizing and simplifying tenders from vendors.

Jaco Joubert completed a Nanodegree in Deep Learning from Udacity in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit during the period of 2013 to 2014. Jaco'sundergraduate education was also in Computer and Electronic Engineering, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 2009 to 2012.
