Ivo Georgiev

Ivo is a cyber security veteran with over 25 years of experience in both management and technical roles. As a trusted client adviser, Ivo is an expert in aligning security programs to enterprise strategy and business objectives and designing security architecture for business operations. Through his extensive experience in highly regulated industries, Ivo helps clients comply with various cyber security and privacy standards and regulations, such as PCI DSS, NERC CIP, HIPAA, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, FOIPPA, PIPA, PIPEDA, and EU GDPR.

Working as a cyber security architect, compliance auditor, and management consultant in the energy, telecom, financial, health, retail, transportation, government and e-commerce sectors, Ivo has acquired in-depth knowledge of complex business and technical corporate processes. He has brought his expertise to high-visibility projects with organizations such as Accenture, BC Hydro, numerous health authorities, and the City of Vancouver. Additionally, Ivo has worked on secure integration and operation of smart meters, data networks and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) management systems.

Ivo holds the internationally recognized CISSP security designation awarded by (ISC)2, as well as CISA (Information Systems Auditing), CISM (Security Management) and CRISC (Risk and Information Systems Control) designations awarded by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He is also a graduate of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
