Bob Romney

Bob Romney serves as a Trustee for the UCI Foundation and is an active participant in various leadership councils at UC Irvine, including the Chancellor's CEO Roundtable and the Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences, where Bob notably chaired for three years. In addition, Bob serves as Chairman of the Board for the Irvine Barclay Theatre and has been on the Board of Directors for the Freedom Writers Foundation since January 2018, assuming the role of Chair in 2020. Bob is a board member of the Public Media Group of Southern California and has held advisory roles with Miramar Venture Partners. Previous leadership positions include Treasurer of PBS SoCal and Director for organizations such as OCTANe and Pacific Symphony. Bob holds both a Master’s in Computer Science from UC Irvine and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the University of Virginia, alongside additional studies at Johns Hopkins University.
