Kim Sentovich

Executive in Residence at Miramar Venture Partners

Kim Sentovich joined MDV in 2020 as an Executive in Residence. She is a senior level executive and experienced outside board director with 30 years of experience in supply chain, operations, retail, human resources, finance, digital strategies, IT, procurement, purchasing, merchandising and leadership. Kim is currently a consultant to private equity portfolio companies and retailers in both the US and Canada and a board director for both public and non-profit organizations.

​Kim has held multiple operating roles at leading organizations like The Home Depot, Walmart, Gymboree, and Torrid that has allowed her to develop a unique and broad skill set. She has managed big box and specialty stores, leading divisions with P & L responsibility up to $19B in revenue. She has managed multiple formats, sizes, geographies, and functional areas in complex markets with diverse product categories. Over her career in consumer products and retail, she has led teams in grocery, apparel, pharmacy, beauty, electronics, outdoor, sporting goods, toys, home furnishings, and home decor. She has also developed and worked on implementing key merchandising and marketing strategies that included adding new fresh categories to general merchandise Walmart stores, holiday pop-up store concepts, company branding and rebranding projects, customer service and loyalty programs, and product and service rationalization strategies.

​Kim currently serves as a director for One Stop Systems (OSS), a NASDAQ listed company that is the leader in specialized high-performance computers. Additionally, Kim holds seats on the boards of several non-profit organizations such as the Children's Hospital of Orange County and the Chief Executive Roundtable at UC Irvine. She is on the executive board for both and serves on the finance and compensation committees for the $1 billion-dollar Children’s Hospital.

​Kim received her BA as a double major in Philosophy and Political Science with a minor in Economics from Bryn Mawr College and an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business, UC Irvine.
