Rekha Kumari is a highly experienced academic in the field of microbiology and bioinformatics, currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at Miranda House, University of Delhi since July 2014. Prior to this, Rekha held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of Delhi from July 2002 to July 2014, and has also contributed as a Visiting Scientist at UFZ and DMF, University of Lausanne. Rekha's research interests include gut microbiome, metagenomes, environmental microbiology, and bioinformatics. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Delhi University, and two Master's degrees in Bioinformatics from The University of Edinburgh and in Zoology from Delhi University.
