Karen Newhouse

Karen Newhouse has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Karen started their career in 1990 at The Boldt Company, where they worked as a Project Manager. Their responsibilities included managing various aspects of projects, such as bidding, scheduling, communication, budgeting, and coordination with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers. Karen also served as the Director of IT Implementations, leading the transition from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook and overseeing the company's ERP conversion. In 2017, Karen joined Pepper Construction Group as a Senior Project Manager, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also held the role of Project Executive and Director of Lean Learning. In 2021, they became a Lean Proponent and Implementer. Most recently, in 2022, Karen joined Miron Construction Co., Inc. as the Director of Lean Construction.

Karen Newhouse attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering/Structural. In September 2008, they also obtained a LEED certification.
