Cory Kostrub has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on preclinical safety and pharmacology. Cory is currently the VP of NonClinical and ClinPharm at Mirum Pharmaceuticals, where they have been since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent PreClinical Consultant/Contractor at CK Scientific starting from January 2013. Before joining Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Cory held various leadership positions, including Executive Director Preclinical Safety and Pharmacology at Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. from June 2016 to October 2019, and Sr Director Preclinical Safety and Pharmacology at Biotie Therapies Corp. from August 2014 to June 2016. Cory also served as the Director of Development Sciences at Achaogen from February 2005 to December 2012. Additionally, Cory has experience as a Target Manager at Exelixis from August 2000 to January 2005, and as a Scientist at Novartis Pharmaceuticals from April 1999 to August 2000.
Cory Kostrub holds a PhD in Genetics, which was earned from Harvard University between 1992 and 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Biochemistry and another BS in Microbiology & Public Health from Michigan State University, during the period of 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they completed the MMSc (Master of Medical Science) program at Harvard Medical School from 1992 to 1994, focusing on the MD curriculum.
