Mark Depristo

Mark DePristo is the Founder and CEO of BigHat Biosciences, a company focused on designing safer biologic therapies through machine learning and synthetic biology. Additionally, Mark serves as an advisor for Mirvie and EverlyWell, both aimed at improving healthcare through innovative technology. Previously, Mark led the Genomics team at Google Brain, creating influential software packages for genetics. Other significant roles include Vice President of Informatics at SynapDx, where Mark contributed to autism diagnostics, and Co-director of Medical and Population Genetics at the Broad Institute, where Mark developed the Genome Analysis Toolkit. Mark's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Northwestern University.
